The internet was down at school for a day so the last post was late going up. I have now used the metro. Fast but horribly noisy. Though the metro map has 'Western' script as well as Cyrilic, I will need to read Russian properly to read the stations.
I have been to look at another flat and have said 'yes' to it. Cheaper than the ones I saw last week and nearer to school. Quieter than at Vannessa's and only 6 floors up. It won't be available until next week so I'll be with Vannessa for a while longer.
Nadine is on her way to the States for a week for a wedding so I'm on my own. I do have Mrs Anna to help me and the children are getting used to me. I'll see what tomorrow brings.
I'm going to have another go at putting a photo up. If it's not here then it's not worked. I'll try the rainbow and a photo of a wooden church not far from here. I want to go inside but not had time yet. No the church is still on the camera. It will have to wait until next time. The rainbow made the local news.
Dear Su
ReplyDeleteI met up with Maggie last night and she gave me the link to your blog - I really wanted to be in touch with you by tomorrow so I could say 'Happy Birthday', so I'll say it now - chances are I won't have time to log on again tomorrow! I hope you have a great day and don't feel too lonely on a day when, traditionally, you'd do family things.
I was sorry not to talk to you before you left but hopefully we can now keep in touch this way. Sounds like you're being pretty adventurous and enjoying your experiences of Moscow so far.
I'll look forward to reading more!
God bless, Gill
