Day off

This is the restaurant we went to last night Tiflies - named after Tiblisi the capital of Georgia
Inside: At the front Kaz (from Rosinka) with Alan (school 2) and Tracey who came out at the same time as me. Cathy is on the other side of the table.
It was an amazing place and I want to go in the summer when you can sit out on the balconies, though I expect it will be busy then. Inside was wonderful with dark, carved wood. Lots of atmosphere. Lots of choice on the menu. I had lamb which I thought was fine, as did Tracey, but sadly Cathy didn't enjoy hers so much. Kaz and Alan had good choice too.
I've had a frustrating day. Betty thought the health centre would be open so I made the effort to go down there after washing the kitchen and bathroom floors, only to find it closed. What happens if you are ill on a public holiday I can't say. I decided to walk back to the city which was a mistake. The road was uninteresting, the sky was grey with snow flurries and I was cold and needed the loo. Thank heavens for Macdonalds. I nipped in pretending I had come from downstairs. The Kremlin looked amazing and I can't wait to go round with Peter. Lots of people were about and I saw many more families than I have seen, even at the weekends.
I was gettng hungry and cold so cut my losses and came home. I'm cooking lots of veg into a kind of soup. I got some nice bread on the market. People are so kind and helpful. An older gentleman translated for me when I only wanted 1 parsnip. The young man thought I wanted 3 kilo!!!!!! The young stall holder then proceeded to recite the numbers 1 - 11 and as I moved away said 'I love you' to no-one in particular!!!
School tomorrow and then it will soon be the weekend. Hooray.
