World Heritage Site

After yesterday's exertions we decided to take it more gently today and visited Kolomenskoye. It was the site of wooden palace which was burnt down when Napoleon attacked the city. It is a beautiful park over looking the city. We walked around the main park land up hill to the churches and gates but there is more to see when we are feeling fitter!!!

We had a lovely day and all on the Green line metro. Easy. First concert tomorrow night!!

  1. What a marvellous collection of photos this month! You really have treated us to another taste of the city! What with all the fountains and the Victory celebrations you have been busy! Hope you have enjoyed your time with Peter. We have just returned from a Taste of Italy tour which gave us the time to see a little of Florence, Rome and Pompeii! Will have to spend a little more time in each to see everything we wanted! All the best for now.xx
