An ordinary week

Another week nearly gone, I can't believe it. The trip to the Tretyakov Gallery was very successful and the children really enjoyed themselves. It took ages to get there because of the traffic - now I know why I use the Metro. Also we had not booked a guide so we were always getting in other peoples' way or the children seemed too excited for the Russian guides. The children were just interested so hopped from one picture to the next, exclaiming as they went. Despite our short time there, we did a lot.

I have joined the Moscow International Choir which meets at church. I recognised several people from Church which was nice. Joseph  (tenor) saw me hovering and came over. I also met a student called Alice. I heard a lot of Russian being spoken, but German as well as English. The musical director is Russian but speaks reasonable English. Tackling Rutter's Gloria for a concert later in the year. Ambitious.

Just one new photo this week. I had to go to Aeroport (an area not the airport) to change my phone contract. I could see this building when I lived with Vannessa. If it was cloudy the top disappeared. It's not one of the seven sisters, but must have been built at the same time. It was getting to dusk so the lights were just coming on and I thought it looked rather beautiful.
