Saturday - Muzeon art park

At last lots to write about and lots of pictures.

I decided it was time to get out and about again. After choir I grabbed a pancake before heading south to the Muzeon Art Park. I had seen the end of it briefly when I went to the Tretyakov with Tracey in January, but it was too cold and snowy to explore. Now I had a chance.

It is an odd mix of modern, old and Soviet statues set in a park with flowerbeds and seating. It is set right next to the river and a lovely place to stroll. Here is a selection of photos to illustrate the point.

I then had to find my way and the park is not particularly near a Metro. Map in hand I set off. By then it was nearly 5 o'clock when church bell started ringing. I was even better than our little church as I think it had more bells. I turned a corner and saw this amazing sight.

Heading into the metro I found another interesting wall.

And this picture was at Chekovskaya.

And so ended an interesting day. By then my feet were aching so I headed home, via the supermarket for food and an evening in front of a DVD.
